The first Independent Morecambe shoot that I completed in 2019 was such great fun to work on, and it received such great feedback, not to mention raising a lot of money for several local charities via the sale of the Morecambe 2020 Calendar, that the guys at Morecambe BID asked me to shoot another batch of photos for the 2021 campaign. Nice!
Back at the end of 2019 when I got the commission, like everyone else, I had no idea what was about to happen worldwide! It certainly slowed things down, and social distancing and other measures meant I had to rethink most of the shoots that I had spent a lot of time planning! But I got there in the end and I’m really pleased to be able to share the final calendar with you. It was great last year seeing several of the portraits filling up the windows of empty shop units and the same is already happening again this year.
The calendar is available now at just £2, so a great stocking filler by any standard. You can buy it at various shops in town including Briggs Shoes, The Old Pier Bookshop and The Little Shop of Hobbies. All proceeds from the sale of the calendars this year go to the local charities Galloways, Morecambe Foodbank and Morecambe Homestart.
So without further ado, here’s the calendar…
