iMap the Neighbourhood was a collaborative art project instigated by Pete Moser at More Music, an organisation based in the heart of Morecambe’s West End. The project was an exercise to map the area through different artists interpretations of the various infrastructures underpinning the area,
aimed at engaging new people from the community in arts and cultural activity literally, inspired by the very ‘roads beneath their feet’.
Heroine are a young 5-piece alternative rock band based in Manchester. In 2018 as they were preparing for their first gigs, they came over to Morecambe a promo shoot and we just had a great time. They had their first gig at a packed out club in Manchester a few months later and of course, I was there, and at several of the gigs that followed, to photograph them live. In the Autumn they came over to Morecambe again to shoot the video and cover art for their first single “Damsel”.

An ongoing professional and personal project, Writer Portraits is a collection of portraits of writers, begun when I worked at Lancaster Litfest and was asked to take the author portraits for Litfest’s publishing arm, Flax Books, and continued thereafter. Writer Portraits was exhibited at The Dukes, Lancaster in 2013.
