Tomorrow (Sat 25th June) I’ll be at the West End Festival in Morecambe delivering a “Johnny Beanstalk” about our local food routes. It’s part of a wider “iMap The Neighbourhood” project instigated by Pete Moser at More Music aimed at engaging new people from the community in arts and cultural activity literally, inspired by the very ‘roads beneath their feet’.
As well as my talk (at 1pm and 3.30pm), all the other artists involved in the project will be there too, to show and to talk about the work they have been doing with local people. They are Lizzie Coombes (Photographer), Sue Flowers (Environmental Artist), Kate Maddison (‘creative engineer’, trained architect, artist and Public Art consultant, Pete Moser (Community Musician) and Shane Johnstone (Artist).
If you’d like to learn more about the project, or if you’d just like to come along to enjoy the day, The West End Festival takes place on Saturday 25 June, from 12pm-4pm in Regent Park, Regent Road, Morecambe.
