Recently I shot what is likely to be my last ever full day wedding, and oh gosh it was a great one to finish with! Tom & Barbara married in great style at the beautiful Askham Hall near Penrith on a truly glorious day. Anyway, whilst we wait for the wedding to be edited in full, here’s a sneak peek of the day
I have a new exhibition for Morecambe Artist Colony opening on May 16th in Morecambe – The BIG Dance features photographs taken on one joyous day back in 2014, when together with Typical Type, we put out a call for dancers of any age, ability or genre to pop into The Storey for just a few minutes and dance for the camera in front of Typical Type’s giant illuminated Dance letters!
50 Faces- a personal project capturing portraits of 50-year-olds.
High Teas & Holidays is a heritage through art project looking at Morecambe’s holiday heyday through the windows of the guesthouses and the eyes of the holiday-makers who stayed in them. The project was conceived by husband and wife artist team Carol & Johnny Bean. You can see some examples of their previous work here.
In 2017 I was commissioned by Attic Door Productions, a Morecambe-based Theatre Company to come up with a poster image to promote their forthcoming production of The Trial of Van Helsing at Lancaster Castle. The resulting image was shot in 30 minutes in a dark corner of The Winter Gardens in Morecambe with just the use of an anglepoise lamp!
In 2016 I had the wonderful fortune to receive an ‘associate artist’ commission to spend 4 days in Aberdeen from an old friend now working at Aberdeen Performing Arts.
